Hey if you have a slit open i would like obe for Eva!
Thanks TJ
A few weeks ago I was having a really rough day and decided that it was time for me to leave the pity party and instead do something for someone else. So I posted on facebook that I wanted to give away a session to a deserving family. 7 families were nominated and all the stories were so incredible that I couldn’t pick just one.
Here’s one of the emails I received:
“I would like to nominate my friend Heather. Her son and daughter are at my son’s school and the family is in less than ideal circumstances and they are so deserving!
Heather is pregnant with #3 (c-section scheduled Feb 7th) and is currently on bed rest. This means she has had to quit working earlier than she planned (she is a dog trainer at pet smart). Regardless of anything difficult going on with her family both she and her husband never complain and just keep trucking. The whole family has such a sweet and giving demeanor that I always try to pay more attention to the way they live their life so I can be more like they are. I am also secretly in awe of how sweet she is to her husband ; she is so kind.
I also seriously doubt they have had any family photos done in recent years and with the newborn coming, it would be so nice for them to get to celebrate the "New" family!
Her kids Hannah and Aiden are SO SWEET! Please pick this fabulous sweet family!”
Well yesterday I got to meet Heather, her husband Chris and their sweet new little bundle, Arawynn! She was such a little angel for us and hardly woke up at all.

Happy Friday! I thought I’d share a newborn session from yesterday! Brennan was such an adorable little guy and yesterday he did absolutely wonderfully – barely made a peep and slept the whole time!
The last few newborn sessions I have been doing at my house (instead of me going out on location) and let me tell you…they have been some of the best, easiest sessions I’ve done in a long time. There are many pros to having it here… everything is set up and ready to go as soon as you arrive…. I know where the best light is….. I have access to all of my props, blankets, hats etc (when I go on location I can only bring a limited amount)…. you don’t have to clean up your house at all….you can come over in your pjs if you want (no judging here!)…you get to chill out on the couch and watch the session and finally, the car ride over puts those little ones in a nice deep sleep. So I highly recommend (until I can get a studio space, which I’m working on) that if you have an upcoming newborn session, do it here!
Ok, so here we go with the photos…..here’s Baby Brennan…

He is the most adorable baby!!!!!!!!!! Love all of these shots
Last week I got to see baby Jackson again for his 4 month pictures. That age is notoriously hard to photograph because you can’t do the sleepy/posey newborn shots….but they aren’t sitting up yet….so instead we focus on their expressions and this little guy had some awesome ones. He was so giggly….he made my job simple! I kept joking that he was trying to make it up to me because his newborn session was a tough one! You’ll see Jackson again because I will be doing his photos every 3 months for the first year!
Here is one of his newborn photos ….
And here he is now…what a big boy! So cute!

Bronwyn Jagutis - Hi Katie,
I met you breifly at the BITS on Sunday in Landfall. I am pregnant and due at the end of June. Please tell me more about the contest for the newborns. What is the cost of a newborn session, and how does the contest work?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Bronwyn Jagutis
